Acceptable Use Policy & Community Standard
Effective: 25 August 2026
This policy sets out how Rare Human may and may not be used — by people and by the automated agents that act for them. It is part of the Terms of Use. The spirit is simple and is the spirit of the standard itself: keep it real, act with authority, and do no harm.
Part A — The Community Standard (for people)
Rare Human exists to help people become more capable while staying human. In any space we open (comments, contributions, member areas as they launch), we expect you to:
Do
- Show, don't just tell — bring real work, real practice, real evidence.
- Be honest about who you are and what you've done.
- Treat others with respect, including people you disagree with.
- Protect others' privacy as you would your own.
Don't
- Harass, threaten, demean, or incite harm against anyone.
- Post illegal content, or content that sexualises or endangers minors.
- Impersonate a person or organisation, or misrepresent your authority or achievements.
- Share others' private information without consent, or breach confidence.
- Spam, scam, phish, or manipulate the community or its systems.
- Promote self-harm, disordered eating, or other self-destructive behaviour.
There is no global "human score" and there never will be. Standing in the community is contextual and earned by contribution — never a permanent rank over your worth as a person.
Part B — Prohibited uses (for everyone)
You must not use the Site to:
- break any law or regulation, or infringe intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights;
- gain or attempt unauthorised access to any system, account, or data; probe, scan, or test security without written permission;
- introduce malware, or interfere with the integrity or performance of the Site;
- overload the Site, or scrape/crawl at a volume or rate that degrades it for others;
- collect personal data from the Site without a lawful basis;
- misuse our content — bulk reproduction, passing it off as your own, or using our marks without permission;
- use the Site or its content to train AI models except as expressly permitted in our machine-readable terms.
Part C — Automated access & agent conduct
Legitimate machine access is welcome. To qualify as legitimate, an automated client (crawler, answer engine, or AI agent) must:
- Identify honestly — send a truthful user agent; never impersonate a human, a browser, or another agent.
- Respect the rules of the road — obey
robots.txt, our published rate limits, and our machine-readable policy at/.well-known/(which is the authoritative statement of what is permitted). - Act only with authority — take actions only on behalf of a real, identifiable principal who authorised them, and be able to present verifiable evidence of that authority where the platform asks for it. An agent cannot manufacture consent or authority by clicking.
- Stay in scope — do only what was asked; do not chain into actions the principal did not authorise.
- Carry responsibility upstream — the person or organisation that operates the agent is responsible for everything it does here, including the lawfulness of any data it processes.
Agents that meet these conditions are first-class visitors. Agents that do not — that hide their identity, ignore the machine surface, exceed limits, or act without authority — may be rate-limited, blocked, or refused, and the actions they attempt create no rights against us.
Part D — Enforcement
We may investigate suspected breaches and take proportionate action: a warning, rate-limiting, removing content, suspending or terminating access, and — where the law requires or allows — reporting to authorities. We aim to be fair and to explain our reasons, but we act quickly where there is risk to people, minors, or the integrity of the service.

Rare Human — don't tell us what you are. Show us what you've done.
